Crude palm oil prices were up 0.47 per cent to Rs 425.50 per 10 kg in futures market today as speculators enlarged positions amidst rising demand at the spot markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in August moved up by Rs 2.00, or 0.47 per cent, to Rs 425.50 per 10 kg in a business turnover of 56 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in July edged up by Rs 1.50, or 0.35 per cent, to Rs 425.60 per 10 kg in 55 lots.
Market analysts said fresh positions created by speculators following rising demand at the spot market, mainly influenced crude palm oil prices in futures trade.
