The Delhi High Court today asked the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to re-certify the 2013 Bollywood film "D-Day" rpt "D-Day" before it is premiered on satellite television on a PIL against alleged exhibition of nudity and vulgarity in the movie.
Disposing the plea filed by Teena Sharma, a bench of Chief Justice G Rohini and Justice R S Endlaw directed CBFC to re-certify the film within four weeks.
The court's observation came after the counsel appearing for the producers and director of "D-Day" rpt "D-Day" said the CBFC had already granted UA certificate to the film.

Sharma had challenged the U/A certification saying, "The film has been screened in 50 countries and it has been graded as an adult movie in 40 countries while here it had been granted U/A certification.
"The contents of the film are highly objectionable and therefore the film has got A certification for screening in the US and Britain," the plea had said.
The petitioner had accused the movie of degrading women and displaying them as commodities.
U/A certification is given to films which children above 12 years are allowed to see under parental guidance.
