Dalit student beaten up at law college in Muzaffarnagar

A first-year Dalit student was allegedly beaten up and casteist remarks were made against him when he opposed ragging at a law college here, police said today.

According to the victim, a third-year student of the college beat him up and hurled casteist remarks at him yesterday, police said.

Based on his complaint, the police is investigating the matter.
