David Oyelowo to star in 'Americanah' adaptation

British actor David Oyelowo will star opposite Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong'o in the film adaptation of critically-acclaimed romance novel 'Americanah'.

The Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie book is about two young Nigerian immigrants whose love endures despite hardships, reported Variety.

Oyelowo, 38, has landed a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor for his role as US civil rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr in historical drama film 'Selma'.
