Deafmute allegedly raped by employer's sons, says police

A 20-year-old deafmute woman got pregnant after her employer's two sons allegedly raped her in the Bahadurpura area, police sources said here today.

"The deafmute who worked as a house maid is now four months pregnant. We suspect that her employer's two sons allegedly sexually assaulted her and impregnated her," Deputy Commissioner of Police (South Zone) V Satyanarayana told PTI.

The woman complained, using sign language, that two people allegedly raped her, the DCP said, adding "We go by scientific evidence and DNA tests will be conducted on the accused and the victim".

A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Nirbhaya Act.
