A decision on the Lower Subansri hydro power project will be taken after the report of an expert committee which is studying various aspects of the project, Union Power Minister Piyush Goyal said today.
"The committee is studying all aspects of the Project in a comprehensive manner and only after the expert committee report is submitted, we will hold consultations with all the stakeholders and take a decision in this regard," Goyal told reporters here.
The minister said that the delay was "unfortunate" and he was trying to stop further delay "but at the same time the safety, security and livelihood of the riparian states will not be compromised".
