Decomposed body of a child recovered

The father of the abducted boy suspected that the body, bearing multiple injuries, could be of his son kidnapped from Tezpur town on October 8.

However, ten persons arrested in connection with the abduction have claimed that the child is alive and currently in Barpeta.

The body would be sent for DNA test to confirm the identity of the child, police said.
