Delhi Assembly session: Officers fail to respond to MLAs' queries, Speaker gives time till Monday

Assembly today informed the House that officers had not provided answers to three more questions asked by legislators and directed the departments concerned to ensure the same on Monday.

Goel yesterday warned the principal secretaries of revenue, power and education departments of strict action "as per rules" if they "fail" to supply written answers on June 11.

"Answers to three questions have not been provided today as well. I direct them to provide answers on Monday," the said.

Yesterday, as the proceedings began, the MLAs complained that officers have not given answers to three questions.

"I am feeling pained that the answers of these questions have also not been provided today as well. I am extending the session till Monday. If officers do not provide answers to these questions on Monday, I will take strict action whatever I can do as per rules," Geol had said.

The three-day session, which started yesterday, was scheduled to conclude tomorrow.
