Delhi beat Mizoram in U-18 girls football

Mariya Tehreen Khan's four strikes helped Delhi outplay Mizoram 7-4 to win their second match of the quarter-finals League and enter the semi-finals of the Girls U-18 Junior National Football Championship here today.

Mariya scored the goals in the 7th, 33rd, 45+1st and 65th minute of the match at the Raia Panchyat ground.

Anushka Samuel, an international player, scored in the 25th and 85th minute.

With Chetna Dhadwal scoring a solitary goal in the 40th min, Delhi had a commanding lead of 5-0 at the half-way mark.

Mizoram 's B Vanlalhriattiti scored in the 50th minute but with Mariya again scoring in the 65th minute, Delhi extended the lead to 6-1.
 

Mizoram tried to narrow the goal difference as they scored two goals in quick succession in the 68th minute (by Offee Lalmingchhuanpuii and 73rd minute (by B Vanlalhriattiri) with 17 minutes left for the game to end.

With Lalchhanhimi striking, Mizoram scored another goal in the 85th minute taking the score line to 6-4.

However, Delhi scored in the 87th minutes with Anushka Samuel finding the net and a comfortable win.
