Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit today sent a 'chadar' to be offered at the shrine of Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti in Ajmer on the occasion of 801st annual 'Urs'.

Noting that the Sufi saint's teachings would remain relevant for all times to come, Dikshit said the 'chadar' is being sent for the prosperity and social harmony in Delhi.

The Urs is observed to mark the death anniversary of saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti.

"The Dargah at Ajmer is a symbol of communal harmony and brotherhood. Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti was an eminent Sufi Saint whose devotees and followers are spread in number of countries. His teachings would continue to be relevant for all times to come," Dikshit said.
