Delhi Metro launches creche facility for staff

Delhi Metro employees can now leave their kids in a creche while they head to work.

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) Managing Director Mangu Singh today inaugurated a creche, 'Aanchal', at its staff quarters in Shastri Park.

The creche, which will cater to children in the age group of 2 to 12 years, is equipped with modern amenities like air- conditioned rooms, RO water facility, computers for educational activities, toys, bunk beds and pantry among others.

CCTV surveillance cameras are fitted in all rooms to monitor the children and ensure their safety at all times.

"DMRC has started this facility on an experimental basis for the first time and this facility may be extended to other residential complexes," a DMRC spokesperson said.
