Delhiites started their week today on a hot note with the sun beating down since morning and the mercury expected to touch 40 degree Celsius.
The minimum temperature recorded today was 26.0 degree Celsius which was one notch above the normal and the maximum temperature is expected to be 40 degree Celsius, according to the Meteorological Department (IMD) officials.
Yesterday the maximum temperature in Delhi settled at 39.7 degree Celsius giving reprieve to the people who bore the brunt of heat wave last week.
The weatherman has predicted mercury to soar in the next few days.
