Major cities of Bihar were expected to see a further decline in minimum temperature due to westerly winds as the Met office here predicted isolated dense to very dense fog across the state over the next two-three days.

The Patna Meteorological Centre said the cities, which have been witnessing a decline in minimum temperatures for the past couple of days, may witness a further decline in minimum temperature by one or two degrees Celsius.

"Parts of the state are witnessing dense to very dense fog coupled with decline in the minimum temperature due to westerly winds, bringing moisture due to snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir," a MeT official said.

Patna witnessed a foggy morning, but a good sunshine later brought relief to people. The state capital today witnessed a minimum temperature of 10.4C, according to the MeT office.

Gaya recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 7.7C in the state, while Bhagalpur had a minimum of 12.2C and Purnea 12.3C.

The MeT office has forecast another foggy morning tomorrow for Patna, Gaya, Bhagalpur and Purnea.
