Dental surgeon, medical officer found absent

A dental surgeon and a medical officer were found absent from duty during a surprise check conducted by Haryana health minister today at Bachhod primary health centre in Mahendergarh district.
The minister, Rao Narender Singh, reached the primary health centre at 9.40 am and on finding the doctors absent from duty said, action would be taken against them.
A release quoting the minister said, he ordered departmental notices to be served to both doctors and also appealed to medical officers and other officials of health department to remain present in their offices on time, ensuring better health care facilities to the people.
The health minister urged representatives of Gram Panchayats to remain attentive, keep a vigil on health centres and inform senior officers if they find any doctor coming late to health institutions so that action could be taken against those found absent from their duties.
