DGP reviews law and order situation in western districts

: Tamil Nadu DGP T K Rajendran today reviewed the law and order situation in the Western Districts of the state with senior police officials.

The possible infiltration of Naxals from neighbouring states and security on the border areas also came up during the discussions, police said.

West Zone IG, Pari, city police commissioner A Amalraj and senior officials from Salem, Ttirupur, Erode, Nilgiris, Krishnagiri, Dharmpuri and Namakkal districts participated in the review meeeting, they said.
