"Disruptive" behaviour by 2 passengers on flight, AirAsia

No frills carrier AirAsia India today said it recently had to face an incident involving "unruly" and "disruptive" behaviour by passengers on its flight from Guwahati to the city, that could have potentially caused "danger" and "harm" to those on-board.

The incident had occurred on flight i5 1983 from Guwahati to Bengaluru on February 26, AirAsia India said.

It said two passengers, classified as 'unruly and disruptive' by the Captain and cabin crew in their remarks, boarded the flight under the influence of alcohol and created nuisance and disturbance on the flight.

The "alleged passengers" in question, inconsiderate of flying etiquette, caused much disturbance by not only being extremely loud, but were uncouth in their behaviour displayed in causing nuisance to cabin crew as well, it said in a statement here.
 

AirAsia (India) Ltd is a joint venture between Tata Sons Limited & AirAsia, with AirAsia Investment Limited holding 49 per cent, Tata Sons Limited holding 49 per cent and S Ramadorai (Chairman) and R Venkataramanan, two Directors of the Company in their individual capacity holding 0.5 per cent and 1.5 per cent shareholding respectively in the airline.

Upon landing in Bengaluru and after receiving official feedback from the Captain and cabin crew, police was immediately informed and are currently interrogating the two alleged passengers, it said.
