Dodla Dairy-TPG Dodla Dairy Holdings deal gets CCI approval

The Competition Commission has given its nod to Dodla Dairy's deal with TPG Dodla Dairy Holdings Pte Ltd.

Dodla Dairy, an unlisted public limited company, is involved in the manufacture and processing of dairy products and has presence across Indian states like Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Telangana, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal and Rajasthan.

TPG Dodla Dairy Holdings is a special purpose vehicle and is not engaged in any activity at present.

In a tweet, the Competition Commission of India (CCI) said that it has approved "acquisition of Dodla Dairy Ltd by TPG Dodla Dairy Holdings Pte Ltd".
 

Deals beyond a certain threshold require approval from the CCI.

As per the notice submitted to the regulator, the "proposed combination is an acquisition of 27 per cent of the equity shares" of Dodla Dairy by TPG Dodla Dairy Holdings Pte.
