Donald leads in Raceboard

The morning session saw 2 races being sailed back to back. In the RSX Seniors once again the honours were shared by Sattappa and Chennaiah.
The first race saw Sattappa, Murugan, Chennaiah and Prabhu shoot off the start line together. Sattappa tacked off to the port side of the course and was soon followed by the other three.
In the tacking duel Chennaiah got the better of Sattappa to round the windward mark first followed closely by Sattappa, Murugan and Prabhu.
On the reach, however Sattappa sailed better to take control of the race again.
After a close fight, Sattappa piped Chennaiah to win the race by a couple of seconds. Murugan took the third spot.

In the second race, it was again a bitter fight between Sattappa and Chennaiah.
Sattappa looked set to win the race having led till the final windward mark.
However on the final run to the finish, Sattappa relaxed and Chennaiah took the chance to shoot past Sattappa on the final reach and win by a board length.
Jerome Kumar sailed well to surprise his senior competitors and took the third spot.
In the Raceboard Seniors, Donald capsized on the start line and it looked like Remy would win comfortably, but a pumped up Donald fought tooth and nail to catch up with Remy on each leg of the race and to eventually overtake him on the final beat to win the race.
In the second race, Donald gave Remy no chance at all, taking the lead from the start to end and winning with a lead of over 100 mtrs. (More)
