Driver on way to buy pooja items for pilgrims dies in mishap

: A state government bus driver on his way to buy pooja articles for devotees going to Sabarimala died when his motoribike hit a tree at Valpadi today, police said.

The 35-year-old man was proceeding to a shop to buy the articles when he lost control of the two wheeler at a turn and was killed, they said.

He is survived by his wife and two children.
