Four people, including an alleged drug peddler from Punjab, were today arrested at two different places in the district, police said.
The drug peddler was arrested after he was intercepted by a police party at Ashok Nagar near Satwari, an official said.
He said 15 kgs of poppy straw, a narcotic substance, was recovered fromhis possession.
Three more persons carrying illicit liquor were arrested from Narwal area, the spokesman said adding 122 pouches of liquor were recoveredfrom them.
