Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu today said East Godavari is poised as a major growth centre with more agro-based industries likely to come up in the district.
The Minister, who released the brochure - industrial opportunities in East Godavari, said several Memorandums of Understanding were signed with over Rs 40,000 crore investments for setting up of industries in the state at the recent industrial summit held at Vishakapatnam.
"The district is poised as a major growth centre with more agro-based industries likely to come up in the district," he added.
Home minister N Chinarajappa, other leaders and officials were present on the occasion.
