Education is the only panacea for all evils in society and the only enduring means of empowerment, Member-Secretary, National Board of Accreditation, Dr Anil Kumar Nassa said today.

Education is the manifestation of the perfection already in man and not the amount of information that is put into your brain, Nassa said at the 28th graduation day of Sri Krishna College of Technology here.

He further said the wealth and growth of a country lay in the hands of young educated citizens.

"India is poor in economic terms, but rich in intellect, skills and spirit of enterprise. Indians are now among the foremost entrepreneurs in the world," he said, adding that it was the capacity to perceive the truth that had distinguished the youth of India from the rest of the world.

Stating that with materialism and commercialisation dominating every aspect of daily life, intellectual integrity had become a rare commodity, Nassa said what was needed was resolute courage to stand up and be counted in support of a view, which was not popular.

Nassa awarded degress to 911 graduates and 175 post-graduates in the presence of chairperson of Sri Krishna group of institutions, S Malarvizhi.
