A probe into the death of Kamran Mudasir, a PhD student of English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU), has revealed that he allegedly used to make "physical advances" towards his roommate, police said today.
Kamran Mudasir, 29, a native of Parigam in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district, committed suicide by hanging himself in his EFLU room campus on the night of March 2.
Police had said he committed suicide due to differences with his roommate and fellow PhD student Vasim Salim Tamboli.

Denying allegations about Mudasir's death, the Hyderabad Police asserted there was no foul play on the part of police in his death and termed all allegations false.
Quoting his postmortem report, police said no injury marks were found on his body, while doctors opined that the death occurred due to hanging.
"Midairs was very possessive of Vasim and used to assault him. He used to demand that Vasim stay with him and not mingle with others," police said.
Vasim complained to university authorities about "repeated physical and mental harassment" being meted out to him by Mudasir, after which EFLU proctor Harish Kumar Vizra issued him a memo, police said.
A day before his suicide, Mudasir followed Vasim late evening, picked up a quarrel with him near the 'F' Wing hostel, assaulted him and even tried to throttle him, police said.
Some EFLU students, however, intervened and separated them.
