Elderly woman robbed, murdered in Ghaziabad

A 57-year-old was robbed and murdered at her residence in Lajpat Nagar colony here, police said.

"The body of Sunita was found yesterday lying on the floor and a scarf was wrapped around her neck," Assistant Superintendent of Police Anoop Kumar said, adding the robbers also took away her jewellery.

The woman's son informed police that she had returned a few minutes ago from the market.

"Broken bangles and denture were found in scattered condition," Kumar said.
