The employee of the 63-year-old woman, who was bludgeoned to death with a hammer at her Lajpat Nagar residence, has been arrested from Uttar Pradesh for the murder and loot of cash and valuables, police said today.
Kamlesh, 25, was arrested from Barabanki yesterday. Over Rs 1.5 lakh of the cash looted and jewellery was recovered from him, said DCP(south east) Mandip Singh Randhawa.
Police said the accused had hit the lady with the hammer he had brought with him. The hammer was recovered from him.

Kamlesh, who had taken a one-month leave from the shop run by the deceased on the pretext of illness of his son, was seen roaming near her house on the day of murder in a CCTV footage.
He had returned back to his native place Barabanki where he used a part of the cash looted to buy jewelleries for his wife, police said.
