Eros Intl ties with Rentrak to know box-office collections

Film company Eros International has tied up with media analytical services provider Rentrak to know box office collections of films across India.

Rentrak will collect data of film 'Tevar' which has been released today, starring Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha, a statement said.

Commenting on the development, Rentrak Worldwide Movie Measurement Business President Ron Giambra said: "Rentrak is thrilled to continue help India make its film production more transparent with our global box office reporting capabilities".

Texprocil seeks simplification of Advance Authorisation Scheme * The Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council (Texprocil) suggested ways to simplify the Advance Authorisation Scheme to make it more exporter friendly and less cumbersome, in a statement issued here today.
 

The Advance Licensing Scheme (Advance Authorisation Scheme) is a duty exemption scheme introduced in 1976 to provide exporters with basic inputs at international prices as well as allows duty free import of inputs required for export production.

"Continuation of the Advance Authorisation Scheme in the forthcoming Foreign Trade Policy 2014-19 would be crucial to encourage Make in India initiative," Texprocil Chairman R K Dalmia said in an official statement issued here.

Pazhamudir forays into hospitality sector * Saraswathy Enterprisers, which runs a chain of fruits and vegetable outlets in the name of Pazhamuthir Nilayam across Tamil Nadu, has forayed into hospitality sector, joining hands with Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels.

The name of the hotel is Zone by the Park and this is Park Hotels' first venture in partnership with the Saraswathy Enterprisers, Santhosh Kutty, General Manager, Development and Operations, Zone by the Park Hotels, told reporters today.

Park Hotels also proposed to launch Zone by the Park in other cities with different partners.

Town City Developers comes up with 'retirement homes' * The city-based Town City Developers, part of K G Group, today launched its 3rd phase of Garden City project, consisting of 2BHK superior flats and retirement homes, at affordable cost.

The company, which has already developed low cost apartments, is now now introducing the retirement homes at a cost of Rs.17.99 lakh, in the gated community at Vedappatti area, Sanjana Vijayakumar, Managing Director, Town City developers, told reporters here.

Since the occupants will be retired community, there would be services like catering, house keeping, medical, recreation and banking, she said, adding, there would 48 apartments in a separate block, which would be ready in another 15 months.
