Actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar today said he hopes issued raised by cine industry workers are resolved in time so that they don't have to go on a strike next month as announced by their union.
Reportedly, members of Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) have threatened to go on an indefinite strike from October 3 to demand a hike in their daily wages and improvement in working conditions.
Reacting to the strike call, Akhtar said strike affects everyone and hoped the matter gets resolved in time.

"I think strike affects everyone - those who are participating in it and also those who are not participating like directors, producers and others. I have not enquired about it. Hopefully, we resolve it," Farhan told reporters here at an event.
According to reports, in May, FWICE had threatened to go on a strike if the film and TV producers' bodies failed to renew the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with them that had expired in February. But they called off the plan following a meeting with producers.
However, since nothing concrete has been achieved in talks with these bodies, the FWICE has now decided to go on a strike from later this week.
According to a statement by Western India Cinematographers Association (WICA), the FWICE has issued an ultimatum to the producers that if they do not sign the long-pending MoU by October 2, all their 22 affiliates, including WICA, will stop work from October 3.
