Farmers' loans in CRDA limits waived: AP agriculture minister

Andhra Pradesh Agricultural Minister P Pulla Rao said here today that the state government would waive crop loans to the extent of Rs 1.50 lakh, for each farmer who relinquished land voluntarily, under the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) limits.

The benefit would be available to farmers who voluntarily relinquished their lands under the land pooling scheme for construction of the new capital of Andhra Pradesh, he told reporters at Tulluru village.

He said that the total amount of loan to be waived is estimated to be Rs 230 crore, out of which Rs 63 crore have already paid into bank accounts of a few farmers, while the rest of the farmers would get it by next Monday.
