Father and son injured in acid attack

A 65-year-old man and his 24-year-old son were severely injured in Kanpur village in Kendrapara district when a group of people threw acid on them today, police said.

The injured persons- Santanu Das and Smruti Ranjan Das - were shifted to district headquarters hospital here. Their condition was stated to be serious, the police said.

Long-standing land-related feud was the motive behind the crime, police added.
