In a suspected case of honour killing, a 15-year-old girl in Charthaval town here was today allegedly murdered by her father who was against her relationship with a local boy, police said.
The deceased's father slit her throat and threw the body at her lover's doorstep, they said.
The couple's parents were against their union despite both of them belonging to the same community.

"The father has been arrested and has confessed to his crime," said circle officer Shivraj Singh.
"The body has been sent for postmortem," he said.
Meanwhile the security in the area has been tightened and extra police personnel have been deployed to prevent any untoward development.
