Father, son arrested for selling stolen phones, laptops

A father-son duo, involved in buying stolen items from pickpockets, has been arrested, the police said today.

On a tip-off, Nand Kishore alias Karate (47) and his son Subhash (22) were arrested on July 15 near L-Block in outer Delhi's Mangolpuri, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer) M N Tiwari said.

During interrogation, Kishore revealed that he used to buy stolen mobile phones and laptops from pickpockets and sell these at higher prices, he said, adding the accused has been involved in crimes for the last 25 years.

The police have recovered Rs 2 lakh from the duo, 54 cell phones, 11 laptops and a car from them.
 

The DCP said nearly 65 cases of laptop and mobile thefts across Delhi have been solved with their arrest.
