Armed miscreants shot dead a finance company employee and looted Rs 50,000 from his associate at a village in Bihar's Begusarai district today, a police officer said.
The incident took place near a brick kiln unit at Sikraula village when three motorcycle-borne miscreants intercepted two employees of 'Bandhan' finance company, Uday Paswan and Manoranjan Kumar who were going to collect payment from customers on a bike.
The miscreants shot dead Paswan (35) for resisting their attempt to loot money from him, Virpur police station in-charge Lal Babu Singh said.

The miscreants also assaulted Kumar before snatching a bag containing RS 50,000 from him before making good their escape, he said.
The body of Paswan, a native of Rajbara village of the district, has been sent to Sadar hospital for post-mortem, Singh said.
Paswan and his colleague were going from Muzaffara bazar to Manjaul bazar to collect payment from customers of Bandhan finance company, Singh said.
