FIR against 171 persons for 'unauthorised' meeting

An FIR has been registered against 171 persons for organising an "unauthorised" meeting at Mohiuddinpur village here, that was also attended by controversial VHP leader Sadhvi Prachi.

The FIR has been registered at Shergarh police station under relevant sections of IPC against 21 named persons, while 150 people have not been named, SP rural, Brijesh Srivastava said.

The accused have been booked for organising a meeting for allegedly supporting a Panchayat member at Mohiuddinpur village last night, without taking adequate permission, he said.

On being asked about her participation in the meeting, VHP leader Sadhvi Prachi said that she had gone to the village to attend a party, after which people started gathering around her, when they got to know of her visit in the area.
