Fire engulfs boys' hostel of Agri university in Kashmir

A hostel building of an agriculture university was gutted in a fire incident in Sopore township of Baramulla district of Kashmir valley, police said today.

Fire broke out in the boys' hostel of Sher-i-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST) at Wadoora in Sopore resulting in destruction of the building, a police spokesman said.

He said no one was injured in the incident as the students were evacuated safely from the hostel.

The cause of the fire is being ascertained, he said.
