Raw materials like wood, kept in a godown at P N Pudur in the city, were gutted in a fire today, police said.
The godown belonged to a leading furniture manufacturer and the cause of the fire and loss is yet to be ascertained, police said.
Six fire tenders toiled hard to put out the fire which broke out in the evening, they said.
