Five people from a family have been killed in a village fire in southwest China, officials said.
A residential house caught fire yesterday at around 4:50 am local time in Guizhou Province's Xishan Town in Congjiang County leaving the five dead.
According to an initial investigation, the fire damaged 21 houses and affected 131 people from 26 households, state-run news agency Xinhua reported.

Relief materials including rice and quilts have been delivered to the victims.
Further probe into the cause of the fire is underway.
