Five relatives of former MP minister Dashrath Singh Lodhi were killed when their jeep collided with a stationary truck on Jabera-Sagar road here, police said today.
The deceased persons were going to take part in a pre-marriage function when the mishap occurred last night, they said.
The jeep rammed into the stationary truck following which four persons died on the spot while another one succumbed to his injuries on the way to hospital.
The deceased were identified as - Devendra Singh Thakur (Lodhi's paternal uncle), Ujiyar Singh Thakur (Lodhi's younger brother) Nanhe Thakur, Kamlesh Thakur and Narendra Singh Thakur (all close relatives of the former minister), police said.
A case has been registered in this regard and further investigations are on, they added.
