A Global Position System (GPS) fitted in the cab helped police to apprehend Laxman, Raj Kumar, Rahul, Amit and Vikram, who stole the cab at gun-point after seeking lift from its driver in New Ashok Nagar on the intervening night of Monday-Tuesday.
They were nabbed hardly an hour after they had taken over the cab. The incident took place when the cab's driver Ayub Khan was returning from Loni to the call centre in Noida, police said.
A country made gun and one live cartridge were recovered from their possession, police said, adding that further probe is on.
