Five sentenced to life for murder
Additional district judge Shailesh Kumar also imposed a penalty of Rs 4000 each on the convicts yesterday.
The case dates back to May 2009 when head of Punarji village, Captain Subba Yadav, was beaten to death by Ram Awadh Pandey, Ravindra Pandey, Awadh Narain, Ram Darash and Roshan over construction of a link road.
One of the accused Shiv Pujan died during trial.
