Five toll points to be closed in Haryana: Cabinet

Haryana Cabinet today approved a proposal of the Public Works (Building and Roads) Department to close five toll points in the state.

The points will be closed after the expiry of their agreement and three new toll points will be installed, a spokesman said.

The decision was taken in a cabinet meeting under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, he said.

The Gurugram-Pataudi road point will close on December 12,2017, Gurgaon-Farrukh Nagar-Jhajjar on August 27, 2017, Neval- Gheer-Garhi-Birbal on November

30,Pehowa-Ladwa-Saharanpur Haridwar road on November 15 and Karnal-Rambha-Indri-Ladwa on November 15.

Three new toll points will be installed at Palwal-Jewar-Aligarh road, Ateli-Kheri road and Narnaul-Koriawas-Rambass road upto the Rajasthan border.
 

Besides, a three-member committee has been constituted under chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary (Finance) P Raghavendra Rao for revision of pension, as per 7th Pay Commission recommendations.

Cabinet approved the draft to amend Service Rules for steno typist/junior scale stenographer/senior scale stenographer in the Public Health Engineering Department.

The rules will be called Haryana Public Works Department, Public Health Branch, Headquarters Office Ministerial(Group C) Service(Amendment) Rules, 2016.

The Cabinet approved draft of the Haryana Industries and Commerce Department (Group A) Service Rules, 2016.

The decision was taken as the existing Service Rules have been comprehensively revised to bring the same in conformity with the restructuring plan of the department.

It was also observed that in the existing Group A Service Rules there was a provision of merit-cum-seniority for promotion but the criteria was not mentioned.

In the draft the criteria is ACR score and seniority.

The Cabinet approved transfer of 14.625 acres land to Municipal. It will be done by the Irrigation and Water Resources Department.

The land situated between NH 8 and Sanjarpur distributary is partly barren. It was earlier acquired to set up a brick kiln and now has been declared as surplus land, which will transferred at Rs 31 lakh per acre, he said.
The Cabinet approved that Group A and B posts at three

medical colleges -- Bhagat Phool Singh Government Medical College for Women, the Shaheed Hasan Khan Mewati Government Medical College and the Kalpana Chawla Government Medical College-- will not be in Haryana Public Service Commission's (HPSC)purview.

Ex-post facto approval was given to fill the posts because medical colleges cannot without MCI's clearance. The MCI be started till manpower and infrastructure as per its norms.

"The decision was taken to make them functional at the earliest," the spokesman said.

The Selection Committee has done and will conduct all future recruitments for the colleges under chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Pt BD Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak.

It also approved the draft of the Haryana Motor Vehicles Taxation Rules, 2016, to simplify procedures to deposit vehicle and improve tax compliance.

Vehicle owners will give a declaration or additional declaration regarding payment of due tax and penalty after which license shall be granted.

Provisions for issue of duplicate license, refund of tax and penalty has been made, he said, adding claim must be made within six months.

Refunds shall be made if tax arrears are cleared and registration certificate or permit of the vehicle has not been suspended or cancelled under the ACT.
