Tamil Nadu Governor K Rosaiah today said the nation needs more entrepreneurs and a special focus should be on enhancing research and innovation, to compete globally.
"In this era of globalisation it is imperative that we develop a special focus on enhancing our capabilities in research and innovation to compete globally," Rosaiah said after inaugurating the offshore development centre of auctionsoftware.Com, an online IT firm, here.
"Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced Start Up India, Stand Up India to boost entrepreneurship at the grass root level. Each and every citizen of this Nation should give back to society," he said.

"Motivating and facilitating youth to start up their own new ventures in our country is need of the hour," he said.
Referring to Intellectual Property Rights and IP Administration, he said, "adequate understanding of Intellectual Property Laws and business strategy will help to work confidently in emerging technology field."
"It is high time more awareness is created on Intellectual Property Rights, especially among software engineers in IT industry," he said.
