A forest fire which broke out few days ago in Kalidhar area of Rajouri district has come extremely close to the Jammu-Poonch National Highway.
The fire that broke out in the forests of Kalidhar area has reached near the Jammu-Poonch highway in the Godher Khroti area of Jammu district and is around 800 meters away from the highway, a senior police officer said.
"A team of 40 men along with the district forest officer of Jammu have reached the spot and are busy trying to douse the fire," the officer said.
The forest fire broke out on June 2.
