Entry to the Smriti Van Biodiversity Park remained banned for visitors today even as the forest department teams were on their toes to track the panthers which have taken shelter in the park.

Assistant Conservator Of Forest Manphool Bishnoi said they wanted the panthers to move back to their habitat in Jhalana Forest on their own and tranquilizing them was the last option.

"Teams are camping in the Smriti Van to keep a track on their movement. Park is closed for the visitors as of now," Bishnoi said.

On Sunday midnight, the movement of a female panther and a cub on VIP JLN Marg leading to the Jaipur International Airport had created panic among the commuters.

However, amid the headlights of vehicles and the flash of phone cameras, the panthers slipped into the biodiversity park.
