Former Bengal cricketer Gour Ghosh passes away

Former Bengal and Jharkhand First-Class cricketer Gour Ghosh, 77, passed away today.

A right-hand batsman and wicketkeeper, Ghosh played 17 First-Class matches in a career spanning 1960-61 to 1970-71.

He was also a junior Bengal selector in 2005-06 and 2006-07.

"We convey our solace to the bereaved family and pray to the almighty for eternal peace to his departed soul," CAB joint-secretary Subir Ganguly said in his condolence message.
