Former Mumbai Mayor Shanti Patel passes away
Veteran freedom fighter and former Mayor of Mumbai Shanti Patel passed away here today after a brief illness, family sources said.
He was 93.
The Gandhian, who was also a leader of the dock workers union, passed away at his home in Mahim.
He is survived by a son and a daughter.
