Four fishermen are reported missing from near Katchatheevu islet after their boat hit a rock, Fishermen's Association President Sagayam said today.
He claimed that the fishermen had made distress calls from their wireless equipment, but there was no "response" from marine police, Coast Guard or Navy.
Lankan navy personnel had also made a vain bid to trace them, he said.
