Four persons, including a railway employee, have been arrested today in connection with the alleged murder of a woman railway employee last month, police said.
Technician Ch Swati (28) posted at Railway Electric Substation (RES) in Srugavarapu Kota town (also known as S Kota) in the district was allegedly murdered on May 11.
She was assaulted along with another woman B Parvathi near RES by unidentified persons, who also decamped with their gold ornaments and mobile phones.

Vizianagaram Superintendent of Police Navdeep Singh Grewal said the four persons -- K Gopi (44), class-IV employee of railway PSI department at S Kota, G Madhusudhan (25), Ch Pavan Kumar (20), M Mohan Raju (21) -- were nabbed today for allegedly conspiring and killing Swati.
He said Gopi had an outstanding debt of Rs 45 lakh and used to steal copper cables and few other metals with help of Madhusudhan and Pavan from the RES godown S Kota to clear the debt. In this way, he cleared Rs 2 lakh debt and had planned to clear all with the same means.
But Gopi's transfer was likely as technician at RES S Kota, where Swati was posted, to shun his transfer, he killed the woman officer with help of three other accomplices.
Police said vital clue were fetched from the victim's mobile handset that was used by someone else.
