Four killed in accident on Ahmedabad-Bhavnagar road

Four of a family, including three women, were killed and three others injured in a collision between a car and a tanker near Koth village in the district on Ahmedabad-Bhavnagar highway today, police said.

A speeding tanker coming from opposite direction rammed into the car in which the victims were travelling, police said.

The victims belonged to Anand district and were travelling to Bhavnagar for a religious ceremony. The tanker driver ran away after the accident, Ahmedabad Rural SP Gagandeep Gambhir said.

The injured have been hospitalised.
