Four killed in lightning in separate incidents

Four persons were killed after lightning struck them in separate incidents in the city, official sources said today.

Vishwanath (32), Barati (35) and Sadanad (35) were killed when lightning hit them in Bukkapur village in Fakarpur area here yesterday when they were working in their fields, they said.

In a similar incident in Ajitpur village, Sadhana (9) was killed, they added.

The district administration has announced Rs 1.5 lakh as compensation to the kin of the victims.
