Four killed, six injured in two accidents

Four persons were killed and six others injured in two separate incidents in Palamau district today, police said.

In the first incident, two persons were killed and six others suffered injuries when a jeep carrying members of a marriage party overturned near Chigaina village under Chatarpur police station.

The vehicle was proceeding to Mahulia village under Chatarpur police station from adjoining Garwah district when the driver of the jeep lost control and the jeep overturned.

Two persons including the driver Vinod Paswan were killed on the spot, sources said adding the injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
 

In another incident, one Arun choudhury and his brother-in-law Vishnu Choudhury were killed on the spot when a pick-up van dashed them near Jogaiha village under Chainpur police station.

The victims were going to Garwah when the incident took place, police sources added.
